About Joint Juice
Frequently Asked Questions

The following information is provided as a general guide to our products. This information is not intended to replace the expertise and guidance of your health care provider.

Q: What exactly is glucosamine?
A: Glucosamine is a dietary supplement that has been shown effective in maintaining healthy joint cartilage.* It is synthesized in the body by cartilage cells and is the key building block for the production of the joint lubricants required for joint movement and function.*

Q: How does glucosamine work?
A: Glucosamine works in two ways: It hydrates by helping cartilage tissue absorb water, the primary cushioning agent in your joints, and it lubricates because it is the key building block in the production of hyaluronic acid, the lubricant of all joint cartilage tissue.*

Q: Where does glucosamine come from?
A: There are two sources of supplemental glucosamine on the market. One is derived from the shells of shellfish; the other uses a unique vegetable-based glucosamine. We use only the vegetable-based glucosamine in our product. Joint Juice is:

  • Vegetarian
  • Shellfish free
  • Consistent in quality
  • Made in the USA

Q: What benefits will I notice from taking glucosamine?
A: Healthy individuals may find benefits of increased joint function and flexibility within four to eight weeks.* This varies with the individual. As with any supplement, glucosamine may not work for everyone.

Q: How many calories are in Joint Juice?
A: Joint Juice has 30 calories per eight ounce can. It is made with Splenda® brand sweetener to keep it low in sugar and calories.

Q: How many calories does Joint Juice Fitness have?
A: Joint Juice Fitness has 10 calories per 16.9 ounce bottle and comes in three flavors: lemon, berry and kiwi-strawberry.

Q: How much glucosamine should I take?
A: Research indicates that a minimum of 1500 mg of glucosamine is effective.* We put 1500 mg of glucosamine in all of our products.

Q: What kind of glucosamine is in Joint Juice?
A: There are three forms of glucosamine. We use glucosamine HCl because we believe that this form delivers the most pure glucosamine to the cartilage.
